Microneedling
Artavi Med Spa currently offers microneedling treatments using the innovative Rejuvapen system. Microneedling is used as a method to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, stretch marks, acne scars, and surgical scars. It provides impressive results after just one treatment and can be comparable to results given by fractional lasers and photofacials. Treatment with Rejuvapen also results in plumper, tighter, and glowing skin providing a younger and fresher look.
For a more dramatic glow, add PRP to your treatment. For major improvements in acne scarring, stretch marks, wrinkles and skin tightening, the Secret RF will be most suitable.
The microneedling pen itself has tiny needles that will cause a controlled injury to the skin and open up micro channels. These micro channels only remain open for a brief period of time and allow for the full and deep absorption of skin enhancing products that are simultaneously applied to the face. This deeper penetration of products bring about a much greater result than that possible with any type of facial. In addition, the controlled injury causes the skin to activate collagen and rebuild itself as new flawless skin.
+ How long does a microneedling treatment take?
Since we take time to numb the skin in order to make the treatment comfortable for you, the procedure can take 45 minutes to an hour.
+ When will I see results?
Results can be seen immediately just after one treatment. The skin will continue to improve as it rebuilds itself over the next few days and optimal results can be seen within 6-8 weeks. Treatments can be repeated after 4-6 weeks for those with deeper scars or wrinkles.
+ Does the treatment hurt?
We will apply a numbing cream to your face to ensure the procedure is comfortable for you.
+ Are there any side effects?
The most common side effects are redness, swelling, itching, stinging or tightness. Most of these should resolve within 48 hours.
