+ What is Laser Genesis?
Laser Genesis is a noninvasive laser treatment used to safely and effectively rejuvenate the face by improving fine lines, redness, Rosacea, acne and acne scarring, uneven skin tone and texture, enlarged pores, and lessen the fine vellus hairs on the face. The gentle heating of the dermis stimulates collagen for longer lasting results. Consistent results are seen after each treatment.
+ Who is a candidate for the Laser Genesis?
Men and Women of all skin types can have this treatment done safely. The procedure can treat many skin conditions (see above) and give an improved, youthful appearance to the skin. This treatment can generally be done on any area of the body as well. + How long does the Laser Genesis treatment take?
The treatment can take up to 30 minutes per area.
+ Is Laser Genesis painful?
There is no pain associated with this treatment. Patients often describe the Laser Genesis treatment as relaxing and therapeutic. The laser provides a warming sensation to the skin similar to the sensation one feels when standing near a fire. There is no numbing required.
+ Is there downtime?
There is no downtime with the Laser Genesis. At the most there may be some mild redness to the skin that should resolve within an hour. Patients will be able to go back to work immediately after the treatment.
+ When will I see results?
Results can be seen immediately and continue to improve over days and weeks. Multiple Laser Genesis treatments are usually needed to see the full results.
+ How many treatments will I need?
This can vary from patient to patient but on average 4-6 Laser Genesis treatments are required for the full results. Some skin conditions may require more treatments. You may schedule a consultation with Dr. Desai to see if your skin would be amenable to the treatment and to receive a cost estimate. We do offer package pricing to encourage use of the full treatment.
+ Are there any side effects?
There are virtually no side effects to this laser treatment. You may have some mild temporary redness after the procedure that will resolve within an hour. Protective eyewear is provided to you to protect the eyes while the laser is in use.
